Actress Paanie Kashyap opens up on Bollywood debut Pyaar Hai Toh Hai with Karan Hariharan

Actress Paanie Kashyap is all set to make her bollywood debut as a female lead alongside Karan Hariharan in “Pyaar Hai Toh Hai” which is touted to be a captivating musical romantic drama, directed by Pradeep R K Chaudhary. Recently, Amitabh Bachchan has unveiled the trailer of the film Pyaar Hai Toh Hai on his social media handle extending his warm regards.

Expressing her gratitude regarding the same, Paanie says, “I’m speechless! The legendary actor of the era, Amitabh sir, launching the trailer of our debut film is beyond words. I’ve idolized him and followed in his footsteps, so it’s a huge deal for me. When I heard the news, my hands were shaking and I couldn’t focus on the work I was doing (laughs). I’m so grateful and it feels like a direct blessing from him. This moment is even more special and ecstatic since it’s my debut film and he’s my inspiration. I’m on cloud nine right now!”

Sharing about what prompted her to give a nod to the film, she tells, “Because as far back as I remember, I always wanted to debut with a romantic film. I grew up loving the classical and legendary love stories in the Indian cinema. I feel hugely attached to my own inner emotions when I am able to live a character on screen which has her own tryst with the inner emotions. And when the film came to me, it was like dream come true.”

Giving insights about her role, she mentions, “As I said a true emotional romantic story of the film Pyaar Hai Toh Hai instantly attracted me. And when I delved deeper into the character Nimmo which I am essaying in the film, it was so soul stirring and relatable that I started living the character from the day one of script narration. Without revealing much about the plot of the film, I would say my character will instantly connect with millions of middle class girls who live their normal life and yet dream big. Representing such a relatable character was the main draw to the film. What more could you want from your debut. I am like , ‘Panchi banu, udti phiru….”.

Lastly, expressing her excitement for the film release, she concludes, “Super excited and blessed but anxious and responsible at the same time. This is like a dream come true in real sense. This is the moment I have been waiting my whole life, to become a lead actor in the mainstream Hindi film and that too in the most favourite genre of mine i.e love story. I have prepared all my life to begin a journey as beautiful as this and now that its happened, it also brings lots of responsibilities. At this moment when I look back the life journey, I can connect the dots that experience as to how the years of hard work, sincerity and consistency shaped Paanie Kashyap. Its been a roller coaster ride, full of highs and lows, ups and downs, excitement and disappointment all blended together to reach here. I hope and pray that I get the acceptance of the audience.”

The movie is produced under the banner of Shreetara Cinevision and produced by Sanjeev Kumar (makers of Maddari, Daasdev and Simran) and Randhir Kumar which is all set to hit the theatres on 20th October 2023.
