”After playing the lead role in Kaagaz surely I feel I have firmly placed my footmark in the industry”, says Pankaj Tripathi

Pankaj Tripathi is all set to grace everyone’s screens later this week with his upcoming film ‘Kaagaz’ where he will be seen essaying the role of Lal Bihari. A man who has to fight all odds to prove that he is alive and well, when his relatives forge fake death certificates in his name to take over his property. This will be the first time that Pankaj will be playing the lead role in a film.

When asked about how OTT has influenced his work and helped him grow, Pankaj shared, “Yes, OTT gave me so much. On OTT platform only I played central roles in Mirzapur, Sacred Games, and Criminal Justice.”

He further added, “Obviously, I did good films like Stree and Fukrey, but after playing the lead role in Kaagaz surely I feel I have firmly placed my footmark in the industry. I am very lucky that actors like me are getting recognized and offered some great scripts.”

‘Kaagaz is a Satish Kaushik directorial and is produced by Salman Khan films and Satish Kaushik Productions. The film stars Pankaj Tripathi in the lead with Monal Gujjar and Amar Upadhyay in pivotal roles. Kaagaz is all set to release on ZEE5 later this week on the 7th of January 2021.
