The advent of OTT has definitely given rise to raw talents that were previously waiting behind the wings all rared up to fly. Now soaring, Amit Sial tops the list of actors who have been welcomed by an ever-increasing number of audiences worldwide. Over time, the delectable display of his craft in Inside Edge, Mirzapur, Jamtara, A Simple Murder, Kathmandu Connection and Maharani stirred up the audiences to sit up and take notice. Now they just can’t seem to get enough of the actor.

We questioned him about the storyline of Jamtara 2.0 and what goes with the ever so popular, Brajesh Bhan in the coming season. “Lets not spoil the fun”, he says cheekily. Most interesting is what he adds further, “The dilemma was not to repeat playing a politician in Jamtara as i am one in Maharani too. The only way to conquer that was to stick to the person Brajesh Bhan and not just the politician Brajesh Bhan or the actor Amit Sial. And only then can you eradicate all possibilities of repeating an earlier act.”

As the audiences wait for Jamtara to start streaming, Amit shares that he is also as anxious and excited as his audiences. The extremely promising trailer of Jamtara 2.0 is out now. The series is directed by the National Award-winning director, Soumendra Padhi and written by Trishant Srivastava. Once again, it takes us into a world where the exuberance of youth is exploited as a major skill for con and phishing.

“Any creative process such as Jamtara is a product of a collective experience and incredible efforts of hundreds of people. So once again, with our collective energy, we are coming shortly to your screens and shake it up. And so much greedier for the same love and attention as the previous season”, he chuckles.

Amit has a pile of projects lined up after Jamtara 2.0 with a special mention for ‘Qala’, a drama set in the 1930 in and around music. “Thanks to Anvita Dutt, the director of the film and casting bay who introduced us to each other, I ve never looked as handsome”, he smiles sheepishly.

Amit believes that his life so far has been nothing but magic. And therefore he owes it to his life to be nothing less than the most honest actor alive on this earth. ” I owe it to my audiences to keep evolving, both as an actor and a person. They give me strength to never abandon piety when it comes to my craft. I really want to entertain them to their core. Being the best doesnt interest, becoming better does”, he concludes.
