Celebrities congratulate Raveena Tandon on receiving Padma Shri

Actress Raveena Tandon has portrayed impactful and memorable characters in her career spanning over three decades. She made her debut with the film Patthar Ke Phool for which she received the Filmfare Award. The actress best known for her work in films such as Daman, Satta, Shool, Aks and Maatr, for which she was honoured with the Padma Award on Wednesday. The multi-talented actress achieved her Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award. Raveena Tandon is best known for her striking performances in films such as Daman, Shool , Satta and Maatr. Tandon has portrayed impactful and memorable characters in her career spanning over three decades. She won the coveted National Film Award for Best Actress for her performance in Kalpana Lajmi’s Daman: A Victim of Marital Violence. The talented actress won Screen Awards, IIFA, Bengal Film Journalists’ Association Awards as well as the Filmfare Award for her performance in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Aks. Her award-winning powerhouse performance for Shobhna’s 7 Nights film, won Outstanding Performance Female’ at the Houston International Film Festival and Chicago South Asian Film Festival also Jaipur International Film Festival (JIFF).

Films like Daman, Shool which won a national award and Satta which was also nominated for a national award were part of her repertoire and she received People’s Choice Award for her powerful performance. She has been honored with the Awadh Samman for her contribution to cinema. She won the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Award and Hindustan Times OTT Awards also GNT-IWMBuzz Digital Awards, Filmfare OTT Award and many more for her performance in Aranyak on Netflix.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Raveena was last seen in the blockbuster KGF: Chapter 2 which was the second highest-grossing film. The movie has set a new benchmark in the Indian film industry by breaking all box office records. She also made a big wave with ‘Aranyak’ on OTT for which she has bagged a lot of awards. Raveena will be next seen in T-series family entertainer Ghudchadi alongside Sanjay Dutt, Arbaaz Khan’s upcoming social drama Patna Shukla. She has recently finished shooting for a Disney plus Hotstar web series. She will soon start shoot for Aranyak Season 2.
