Actress Shivangi Verma, who turned a year older recently, says that she had an amazing time on her birthday. The actress enjoyed the day with her family and close friends. “So this year was more about travel and less about partying. I had arranged a photoshoot for my social platform, and after some rest, we had a cake-cutting ceremony with my mother, father, and our close friends. Following that, we enjoyed a family dinner. The very next day, I traveled to Delhi to celebrate my birthday with my Delhi friends, who are my close buddies, and of course, the extended family,” she says.

Talking about her birthday ritual, she says, “The birthday ritual is Rajma Chawal because I am a die-hard fan of Rajma. Every year, my mother cooks Rajma Chawal for me on my birthday. And of course, I have a routine that I follow, as normal days are not like my birthday. On regular days, I wake up whenever, eat whatever, and do whatever. But on birthdays, I know that I need to spend time with my family, enjoy plenty of good food, think positively, be with them, and keep praying for the best year ahead.”

All her birthdays are special, she says, adding, “So it’s more religious and spiritual than a typical party. The most memorable birthday for me has been the one focused on a deeper meaning. I do have wonderful memories of all my birthdays, making each of them memorable. While all the gifts hold a special place, this time I did something quite daring: I bought myself a solitaire ring, making the occasion even more special.”

Age is just a number, she says, adding, “It is just a number. However, with age come experiences, challenges, achievements, maturity, and wisdom. As one grows older, responsibilities increase, something I am truly relishing. I’ve realized that as I am growing, I’m becoming more responsible in a positive and focused way.”

Talking about her goals, she says, “So the goal is yet to be achieved. Honestly, I am not satisfied with what I’m doing, but I’m happy that I’m taking small steps. This industry might offer shortcuts, but that’s not what I want or choose. I believe in hard work and believing in myself. The day is not far when I want to see myself on the big screen.”
