Irrfan Khan, who was getting treated for his neuroendocrine tumour in London, was missing from the big screen for almost a year. Recently we spotted him at the Mumbai airport, marking his return to India. This was followed by a lot of speculations and his fans wanted to know what his next project would be. Then the actor surprised everyone when he announced that he has started the shoot for his next film Angrezi Medium in Jaipur. The pictures from the sets of the film also surfaced online and Bollywood celebrated his return. From Ayushmann Khurrana to Randeep Hooda, everyone posted happy posts for the actor. But it was this recent post shared by Janhvi that caught our attention.
She posted a recent picture of Irrfan from the sets on Angrezi Medium and wrote, “Welcome back sir. So excited for this.” In the picture, Irrfan can be seen standing in front of a sweet shop which we assume is his shop from the movie. His character’s name is Champak ji and the story will revolve around his rivalry with his brother regarding their sweets business. The film will also feature Radhika Madan, Deepak Dobriyal and Kareena Kapoor Khan in pivotal roles. Check out Janhvi’s post right here:
Interestingly, it was recently announced that Janhvi will also be a part of a Maddock Films’ movie. Titled Rooh-Afza, it will be the first time that we will see Janhvi playing a double role. Also starring Rajkummar Rao and Varun Sharma, the film will be another horror comedy after Stree. As for Angrezi Medium, the team will shoot for the film in Rajasthan till the end of the month, after which they will fly to London to shoot a major chunk of the film.
