The trailer for Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Dream Girl has received a tremendous response since the time it was released. It is being absolutely loved by fans across India for the brilliant performance by Ayushmann and the unique storyline. The movie is being helmed by none other than the Entertainment czarina Ekta Kapoor. When asked on why she chose to go with Ayushmann Khurrana for the movie, she replied, “When Raj narrated the script to me, I was of course on floors. I knew only one actor who could do these voice modulations, who will work this hard was Ayushmann. I was sure this man bets on scripts. He won’t see how big the film is, won’t go through the resume of the director. He would read the script and he would perform in himself the ability to perform this role.”

The decision to choose Ayushmann Khurrana as the lead in Dream Girl is certainly shaping up to be a proper one as we can see the immense amount of love the trailer has been receiving. And to top it all off, Ayushmann Khurrana is a powerhouse of talent and skill and it can clearly be seen in his previous track record having delivered six back-to-back hits with the latest one being Article 15.

The film is directed by Raaj Shandilya, produced by Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor, and Aashish Singh. Dream Girl is all set to release on 13th September 2019. For more news and updates from the world of showbiz stay tuned to CineBlitz!

As Hindi cinema’s one of the most cult films Kuch Kuch Hota Hai clocked in 20 years, Karan Johar recently held a premiere at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne to celebrate his debut movie. During the audience interaction, he was asked what if he were to remake the film now, who would play Rahul, Anjali, and Tina. Without an ounce of doubt, he said, “On my Wishlist would be Ranveer Singh as Rahul. He has that mad intensity as Shah Rukh Khan. Alia Bhatt as Anjali. She has the spunk and Janhvi Kapoor as Tina because she has the poise and balance of the part.”

Narrating about how he cast for the film, he said, “I was ecstatic to meet SRK. Kajol and he had promised that they will do my first film. So I remember going to meet him and I had no script whatsoever. I only had a scene in my mind. Which I narrated to him. And he bought into my bullshit. I told him if you like this one scene then I will narrate the entire film to you, which was completely a lie.

Tabu, Urmila, Aishwarya turned me down and Ash was the only one who was polite to call me back. It took months to cast for Rani’s part after Aditya Chopra recommended me her name.” For more news and updates from the world of showbiz stay tuned to CineBlitz!
