Mukul Dev reveals how the team of – State of Siege 26/11 shot during a real protest

The upcoming OTT Show State of Siege 26/11 by ZEE5 is one of the most awaited web shows of 2020. The series unravels the untold stories from the 26/11 attacks and is a true account of the narrative of the various events that turned into the prolonged terror siege of Mumbai on 26th November 2008.

While shooting for one of the sequences, there was an actual protest happening in Bhopal and some of the footage is in the show as well. Talking more about the same, actor Mukul Dev who plays one of the bad guys in the show shares, “We have a protest scene in the show, and while we were shooting the scene there was this real protest happening in Bhopal which was a was a very funny moment for us but luckily the cameraman managed to take some shots from the real protest as well.”

The makers have done everything possible to keep the show real, so apart from shooting at the real locations, the makers have used real blasts instead of VFX shots to maintain authenticity and keep the recollections are real as possible.

State of Siege: 26/11 based on Sandeep Unnithan’s best-selling novel ‘Black Tornado: The Three Sieges of Mumbai 26/11 is an 8 episode series produced and created by Abhimanyu Singh of Contiloe Pictures and co-created and directed by Matthew Leutwyler. The show is all set to premiere on 20th March 2020.

This edge of the seat thriller and fiction based on true events also features an impressive cast comprising Arjan Bajwa, Arjun Bijlani, Sid Makkar, Tara Alisha Berry, Khalida Jaan, Jyoti Gauba, Roshni Sahota, Suzanne Bernert, Naren Kumar and Jason Shah.
