Sonam K Ahuja’s The Zoya Factor postponed to June 14 and the real reason is surprising- Exclusive

Abhishek Sharma’s The Zoya Factor is in the news again. Most recently the film was creating a buzz as Anil Kapoor joined the cast of the film. It was exciting for the fans to see him team up with his daughter Sonam K Ahuja on screen once again, after their last release together, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. And now we have heard that the film which was set to release next month on April 5 has been postponed by more than two months. The film will now release on June 14 and we have got the exclusive reason of why the film’s release has been delayed.

The film is being touted as one the most exciting films to watch out for this year, so the reason for its delayed release may leave you surprised. We have learnt that the film has not turned out to be as expected and some parts may need to be reshot. A source close to the team says, “Some parts of the film have not turned out as expected. So there is a chance of re-edit and some reshoot. This is the real reason why The Zoya Factor’srelease date is being pushed to June 14.”

Meanwhile, Sonam is known to have taken to her role rather seriously. In a rare move, the actress has actually changed her real name on the social handle to her reel name. Her Twitter handle has been changed to Zoya Singh Solanki and her bio now reads, ‘Lucky Charm of the Indian Cricket Team’. The film is based on the bestselling novel of the same name, written by Anuja Chauhan. In the book’s plot, Zoya Solanki – an advertising agency executive – meets the Indian Cricket Team captain (Dulquer Salmaan) and eventually ends up being the lucky charm for the team. The film was earlier clashing with John Abraham starrer Romeo Akbar Walter and Junglee starring Vidyut Jammwal when it was supposed to release on April 5.
