Actor and politician Shatrughan Sinha, who quit the BJP to join the Congress and is contesting from Bihar’s Patna Sahib, campaigned in Mumbai’s North and North West constituencies on Thursday (April 25). Sinha was campaigning for actress-turned-politician Urmila Matondkar who is the candidate from Mumbai North on a Congress ticket. Sinha began his speech with his famous dialogue, ‘Khamosh’ and heaped praises on Urmila Matondkar and Congress president Rahul Gandhi.

The actress dived into the world of politics in this election season. Matondkar had surprised the nation when she joined the Indian National Congress. She was officially welcomed to the party by its president Rahul Gandhi in Delhi. She credited Gandhi for joining the party. She said at a press conference, “I am here to stay. Congress is led by a leader who believes in equality. Believes in giving everyone an opportunity and not asking others to prove patriotism.”
