Vicky Kaushal’s Sardar Udham Singh post production work starts today

The Maharashtra has allowed post-production work of films with request to follow government’s guidelines

The post-production work of “Sardar Udham Singh” starring Vicky Kaushal will commence from Monday, confirmed the actor and director Shoojit Sircar. The actor took to Instagram and shared a working still from the film captioning it “When nature beckoned, We listened… We switched gears, From fast forward to slow motion… Now, there is a call again, an excitement, yet a caution and hunger to reboot, With this feeling… We begin, again… #SardarUdhamSingh. Post-production set to #BeginAgain, tomorrow, 8th June.”

As the title states, Vicky will be playing martyr Udham Singh who killed General Michael O’Dwyer who was responsible for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre of Amritsar in 1919.

It may be recalled here that the Maharashtra government gave a green signal to the film and TV industry last week. The film had appealed to the government to allow post-production work to start as it can be done in a controlled environment and with a small set of people. While only Sircar has announced resumption of post -production work there are films like Sooryavanshi, Radhe and Laxxmi Bomb and 83 have post-production work pending especially Laxxmi Bomb which is preparing to release on an OTT platform.
