Nerkonda Paarvai: Birthday girl Janhvi Kapoor most thrilled with Boney Kapoor’s debut Tamil production starring Ajith Kumar – here’s why

The first poster of Boney Kapoor’s debut Tamil production Nerkonda Paarvai is out. Starring South star Ajith as well as Shraddha Srinath, Abhirami Venkatachalam and Andrea Tariang, the film also stars Vidya Balan and marks her debut in Tamil industry. Buzz is that she will be playing Ajith’s wife in the film. The actress has already started shooting for her part in Hyderabad’s Ramoji. And insiders reveal that the actress has allotted a week’s time for the film. The Ajith starrer film Nerkonda Paarvai is officially adapted from the Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury directed Amitabh Bachchan Taapsee Pannu starrer Pink and will be directed by H Vinoth.

The poster released features Ajith Kumar alongwith the female leads Shraddha Srinath, Abhirami Venkatachalam and Andrea Tariang. Interestingly Andrea had starred in Pink too. While the poster has been getting a positive feedback, we must tell you that there’s one person who is especially excited about the film. It is none other than Janhvi Kapoor. The actress who turns a year older today (March 6) is currently in Lucknow shooting for Kargil Girl. And like we had earlier exclusively reported, papa Boney Kapoor will be flying there to surprise and wish the birthday girl. Meanwhile, the actress is thrilled to see the poster of the film. That’s because it was her mother, the late Sridevi who was keen that Ajith star in their Tamil home production. So, now that the film is underway Janhvi is naturally happy.

The Tamil film will not be an exact remake of Pink and insiders reveal that certain changes have been made to the original film. An insider says, “There are a few changes made to the original film. But the basic premise has not been touched.” Pink that was released in 2016 was produced by Shoojit Sircar and had gone on to win the National Award for Best Film on Other Social Issues.
