Akshay Kumar has averted a mega clash with Salman Khan at the box office. The star’s Sooryavanshi to be helmed by Rohit Shetty was slated to clash at the box office on Eid 2020 with Salman’s Sanjay Leela Bhansali film Inshallah. The clash has now been avoided as Rohit Shetty has changed the date of his film’s release. But we hear that instead of postponing, Rohit Shetty has pre-poned the release date of Sooryavanshi. The film will now release on March 27, 2020, which is a good one-and-a-half month before Inshallah’s release slated to hit screens on May 23, 2020.

It maybe recalled here that Sooryavanshi was first to announce the Eid release date for next year, but then Sanjay Leela Bhansali announced the same release date of his Salman Khan-Alia Bhatt starrer Inshallah. Though Akshay and Rohit have not announced that Sooryavanshi is being shifted, a poster of the action star’s next film Laxmmi Bomb announcing the release date June 5, 2020, which is two weeks away from Inshallah was announced by Shabina Khan, the producer of the film. It’s anyone’s guess that makers will not want to have two back-to-back Akshay releases within a few days span and would want to milk the films better at the box office.

Sooryavanshi is directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by Karan Johar and Shetty. The film is the story of an ATS chief played by Akshay and it will have cameos by Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh. Katrina Kaif plays Akshay Kumar’s wife in the film. So lock the March 30 date then!
