Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan: Divyendu Sharma NOT confirmed to play Ayushmann Khurrana’s love interest – details inside

Some time ago, we had informed you that Ayushmann Khurrana will be playing a homosexual character in Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’s sequel titled Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. Since then many had been waiting to find out which actor would play Ayushmann’s partner and love interest in the film and it was Mirzapur fame Divyendu Sharma’s name coming up. But looks like Divyendu hasn’t given his nod to the part yet.

Just recently, we exclusively told you that Rajkummar Rao was initially approached for the part opposite Ayushmann, but the actor rejected the role. This rejection came because Ayushmann has a better role in the film apparently. Well, there is no strong reason given for Divyendu turning down the offer, but we guess the actor might not be ready to romance a guy on-screen.

Anyways, Divyendu also has not said a yes to the part and the makers are still looking for a lead opposite Ayushmann. Now we will have to see if they get a newcomer on-board or rework the part to get a better face for it.
