Recently, at a press event for the much-awaited family drama Gulmohar, the cast spoke about their excitement about working with Sharmila Tagore, an actress who is almost an institution in herself. And actress Simran, who plays Manoj Bajpayee’s wife and Sharmila Tagore’s daughter-in-law in the film, described her state of mind when she had to shoot her first scene with Sharmila Tagore in the movie. She said, ” I was keenly aware of her presence and was quite nervous about my scene with her, and I realized I was tongue-tied when I had to deliver my lines. To me, this was the second time in my life I was tongue-tied. The first time was when I had to shoot with Rajnikant many years ago, and I had gone completely blank, and I was unable to say my lines.”

She added, “Sharmilaji was so lovely she sensed my discomfort perhaps and held my hand, which calmed me down immediately. After that, I felt comfortable, and the rest of the shoot was the most beautiful experience.”
