Director Vivek Agnihotri’s controversial film The Tashkent Files saw its release on April 12 this year and impressed the audience with the intense narrative that it offered. Turns out that the film has turned out to be successful as it has completed a 100 days run at the cinema halls.
In times, where a week decides the fate of a film, The Tashkent Files has emerged as a sleeper hit and completed 100 days. Expressing his happiness over the success of his ambitious project, Vivek Agnihotri on twitter wrote, “I’m delighted that #TheTashkentFiles has completed a continuous run of 100 days at Box Office. A big day for a film which was written off and not expected to run even 5 days.Thanks everyone for unconditional support and believing in #RightToTruthI dedicate this film to you.” The Tashkent Files was based on the mysterious death of India’s former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri.
