Why Cheat India and Fraud Saiyaan to have a mega box office clash – read all the deets

2019 for Bollywood has begun with good number of films in the first month itself. With all eyes on the clash between Thackeray and Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi we are not focusing on a clash that is happening on the Friday before. Prakash Jha presented Fraud Saiyaan and Emraan Hashmi’s Why Cheat India are releasing on January 18, which is the Friday before the big clash.

Why Cheat India is Emraan Hashmi’s first produced film under his own banner and highlights the education system in India and the issue of students cheating in exams at higher levels. The film stars Emraan in the lead role. Parakash Jha produced Fraud Saiyaan  starring Arshad Warsi and Saurabh Shukla is based on a con who marries women and survives on their money. Both the films are different but are a bit on the similar lines. The irony is they are releasing on the same date. Prakash Jha when asked about the clash said, “cheat aur fraud ka Friday”.

It will be fun to watch these two films clashing on the box office. And there awaits a bigger clash the very next week which is January 25. With the year starting with two clashes and some good cinema we are excited as for what the year ahead holds for us.
