The much-anticipated film Sonchiriya starring Sushant Singh Rajput, Manoj Bajpayee, Ashutosh Rana, Bhumi Pednekar, Ranvir Shorey has finally been presented to the audience today (March 1). The tale of the baaghis (rebels) of Chambal seems to have already made a mark in the audience’s hearts. The story is captivating and the response it is receiving from the movie-goers is also fantastic. People have liked Bhumi and Sushant’s new avatars and cannot stop talking about how well the story is written. Truth be told, social media is swamped with appreciation posts for the film. And guess who is stealing the show? It is none other than Bhumi Pednekar in her rebel avatar.
While we all have seen Manoj Bajpayee and Ashutosh Rana in such gritty roles before, they have mastered the art to impress the audience in the film once again. According to one of the movie-goers, director Abhishek Chaubey has won the game of story-telling. The audience found Bhumi’s presence on the screen very refreshing and they also feel that Shushant is keeping the film together. Summing it up, the film is a good watch with an abstruse message to take home. The audience also felt that the film might not be able to breathe due to the release of Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon starrer Luka Chuppi. Some of the cinema lovers said that the audience would preferably go to a watch comedy-drama film like Luka Chuppi and miss on a gem like Sonchiriya. Check out what everyone had to say about this Abhishek Chaubey directorial right here:
#Sonchiriya is stunning. Daaku with existential crises is a fitting description to what is a remarkable film about remarkable men & women searching for Something as remarkable as themselves. Thank You, @MumbaiFilmFest #SonchiriyaAtMAMI

A film so heavy, Mjolnir would pale in comparison. It’s ably lifted by #AbhishekChaubey & #SudipSharma’s terrific screenplay, while Sharma’s dialogues are a delight. #Sonchiriya

Abhishek Chaubey does what he does best, storytelling!
@bhumipednekar is refreshing and @itsSSR keeps the film together. All in all a good watch with an arcane message to take home.#Sonchiriya #SonchiriyaReview— Aditya Jindal (@jindaladitya0) February 28, 2019
Mind =Blown ,What a nuanced display of casteism and patriarchal society.Penned down with out of the box 'Screenplay' and hardcore desi performances , #Sonchiriya is meant for raw and fierce lovers ! .This might get limited patronage but will win hearts .Going with 4/5 stars .
