Nupur Joshi says she is not exactly cryophilic, but she loves winters. The Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor also calls it “sweater weather” because she not only loves the kind of clothes one gets to wear during this time but also the variety of food that is available. “Mumbai winters are much more subtle as compared to the northern states. Being a pahadi I do have a good resistance to cold, so sometimes I do miss my kind of chilly winters in Mumbai,” she says.

Talking about her preferred holiday destination, Nupur adds, “There are two states at the moment in my bucket list for 2021, my native place Pithoragarh (Uttarakhand) and Ladakh. Europe is a year round destination with something for everyone from blooming flowers to sunny beaches to snowy wonderland. That I am also planning to explore soon,” she adds.

People in the entertainment industry hardly get long holiday breaks and Nupur says, “No leisure, only work leads to saturation. One must travel, for inspiration, there’s so much learning while you travel. And I count myself lucky that my work gives me the opportunity to enjoy leisure while I’m working. I travel across hospitality tourism promotions whether domestic or global. I make, most of, whatever time I get by planning shorter but frequent trips.” No doubt she knows how to take time out for herself.

So what do you love to eat during winters? “The feel in the air makes me crave for all the rich Indian delicacies, starting from paranthas to grilled food to everything fried. And while I’m traveling, I always choose local delicacies as that helps me feel the place better,” she shares.
