Lakmé Salon and Anju Modi present The Glitterati Collection at Lakmé Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI

India’s leading salon chain and the beauty partner to over 500,000 brides over the last 40 years, Lakmé Salon has launched the visually stunning hair and makeup collection – The Glitterati Collection – in collaboration with ace designer Anju Modi at this edition of Lakmé Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI, earlier this evening. After successfully launching Queentessential 1 and 2, timeless hair and makeup collections, Lakmé Salon strengthened its offerings with The Glitterati Collection. The event took place at the Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

The newly launched bespoke hair and makeup collection is a testament to today’s modern bride, who embraces her unique style unapologetically, breaking free from traditional conventions. Adding to the glamour and allure of the evening, actor Sanjana Sanghi graced the ramp as the showstopper, donning an exquisite creation from the Glitterati Collection, which left the audience in awe.

Designer Anju Modi added, “My latest collection delves into the transition from neutrality to vibrancy, reflecting the transformative essence of both discipline and freedom. It serves as a tribute to the contemporary bride. The color scheme undergoes a captivating transformation, embracing a spectrum of earthy hues that instill a feeling of liberation. The ensemble Sanjana adorned draws inspiration from Indian miniature painting, embellished with a modern touch. Watching Lakme Salon’s team of experts weave magic through their stunning hair and makeup looks was truly inspiring and took my collection up a notch.”

Speaking on the looks, Anupma Katyal, National Creative Director, Makeup & Nails, Lakmé Salon, said, “For this collection, the central focus was on the eyes, with glitter, rhinestones, pastel colours while the skin has been kept minimal and glowy. The looks – Lit Luminous, Glitterati, Champagne Rain, Bronze Goddess, and Boho Bling – are an ode to the modern Indian Lakmé bride, who is unapologetically herself.”

Gliterrati – A crystal studded crease with a winger liner, with a nude glossy lip and contoured high shine base.

Boho Bling: Gold crystal glitter to make the eyes pop teamed with nude base and glossy lips.

Bronze Goddess: Whimsical gold eyes with glitter touch to compliments the warm hues on the skin and bronze luscious lips.

The hair looks by Lakmé Salon were just as striking. Audrey Dsouza, Associate – National Creative Director, Hair, Lakmé Salon, said, “In the Glitterati Collection, we’ve transformed hair into a canvas of artistry, where each style is a masterpiece in its own right. The hair looks created in the collection latest Glitterati Collection are fuss-free yet elegant and chic, just like the brides today. The experts in our salons can effortlessly recreate these hairstyles and will be the talk of the town for the upcoming wedding season.”

Lit Luminous: This look is created by gelling back the sleek hair and glitter to accentuate the texture, can amp up any outfit.

Gliterrati: The look is created using various styles of braids. A thin narrow Dutch braid is woven from centre forehead till crown while the rest of the hair is divided into to sections, tied into braids and further shaped into buns.

Champagne Rain: This fuss-free yet elegant hairstyle is created with a sleek low ponytail which is then converted into an infinity braid.

Boho Bling: This half-up half-down hairdo enhances the texture of the hair. The top knot is created by first weaving the hair into intricate French braid while the rest of the hair is styled into gorgeous beach waves.

Bronze Goddess: The classic ponytail with an elegant twist. A box section of twists on the crown, merging into a low ponytail, with a golden thread woven into it.
