Dangal TV’s Deewani’s lead actor Nitin Goswami said that bold scenes are very common on-screen and feels that they are just a reflection of what’s happening in real life. He even mentioned that he won’t mind doing it if there is a requirement in the script and it is portrayed in a good way.

He said, “In today’s times, bold scenes depicted in movies and shows often reflect real-life situations and stories. While some may argue that these scenes are exaggerated, they still resonate with real experiences.”

“If there’s a demand for such content on screen and it’s based on genuine stories, there shouldn’t be any hesitation in portraying it authentically. However, creating content solely for the purpose of sensationalism, like what some channels used to do, is not something I support. But when a story is inspired by real-life events and is presented authentically, I don’t see any issue with it,” he added.

He further elaborated that writers draw inspiration from actual events, and it is natural for them to portray things like profanity, sex, and drugs in reel life as well. He added, “What matters is how these elements are presented. Intentionally emphasizing profanity or sex just to grab attention may not be appropriate. If these elements are essential to the story and portrayed authentically, then there shouldn’t be a problem. But excessively focusing on sensationalizing these aspects, solely for attracting viewers, might not be morally sound. It’s crucial to maintain balance and prioritize the integrity of the storyline over sensationalism.”

Nitin has already made his OTT debut, but next he would like to do an action web series. He said, “The two shows I’ve done so far were love stories. I never thought I’d be doing love stories in my career; I always thought I’d only do action-packed roles. But fortunately, I was given opportunities to tell love stories. Now, I’m eager to explore action-oriented projects.”

Which is your favourite web series? “One of my favorite web series is Panchayat, and I really enjoyed it. I’ve watched both seasons, and I also liked The Family Man. There are many other web series that I watch, but Panchayat holds a special place for me,” Nitin ended.
