Ajay Devgn’s Bhuj: The Pride Of India to release on THIS date!

Ajay Devgn is all set to play Vijay Karnik, an IAF Wing Commander, in Bhushan Kumar’s upcoming production venture Bhuj: The Pride Of India.  Apart from him, the makers have also brought on board Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Parineeti Chopra, Rana Duggabati and Punjabi singer-actor Ammy Virk for the film which is based on the life of Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik. During the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war, Karnik was in charge of the Bhuj airport. After announcing the terrific star cast of Bhuj: The Pride Of India a few days back, the makers have now revealed the release date. The multi-starrer will hit the screens on August 14, 2020.

In the film, Sanjay Dutt will be playing Ranchordas Svabhai Ravari (Paji), a civilian, who helped the Indian Army win the war. Meanwhile, Kalank heroine Sonakshi will be seen playing Sunderben Jetha Madharparya, a village farmer and social worker, who successfully convinces 299 women from Madhapur to help build a runway.  Baahubali fame actor Rana Daggubati will be playing the role of Madras regiment Lt Colonel and Kesari actress Parineeti Chopra will portray the role of an Indian spy who stays in Lahore.

The film is being directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya and will showcase one of the most interesting war stories based on true events. The film will be jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vajir Singh, Ginny Khanuja, Abhishek Dudhaiya and Kumar Mangat Pathak under the banners of T-Series and Select Media Holdings LL.
