Censor Board and filmmakers have had a roller coaster history when it comes to certifying films. In the past, many movies have had a run in with the Censor Board – be it Shahid Kapoor’s Udta Punjab, Konkona Sen’s Lipstick Under My Burkha and several other. And now the film that has come under the radar of Censor Board is Ajay Devgn’s romantic comedy De De Pyaar De. But why has the film landed in trouble? Read on to know..

According to a source close to the officials at the censor board, one of the songs from the rom-com might get an ‘A’ certificate. The song in the question features Rakul Preet Singh and it apparently glorifies alcohol. The reviewing committee has already seen the song and has reportedly decided to give it an ‘A’ certificate. Now this will create a problem for producer Luv Ranjan as he was planning to use the song as a promotional number. And if it doesn’t get a UA certificate, then the makers won’t be able to use it for promotions on television. Since a lot is riding on this particular song, Luv Ranjan will have to decide how to go about it. What do you think about this latest development? Directed by Akiv Ali and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg, the film is all set to entertain the audience in theatres from May 17 onwards. The film will also mark Ajay’s reunion with Tabu after 2 years. They were last seen together in Golmaal Again. However, Tabu only had a guest role in the movie.
