Ameesha Patel accused of fraud of Rs 2.50 crore – details inside

Ameesha Patel has landed herself in legal trouble before her first production venture. According to reports, the actress was going to turn a producer with the Bollywood film, Desi Magic.  But clearly, things haven’t gone well for Ameesha as she has been accused of taking money filmmaker, Ajay Kumar Singh. According to Ajay’s accusations, Ameesha was planning to make a film named Desi Magic for which she had taken Rs 2.5 crores and never returned back.

In fact, the cheque given by Ameesha and his business partner, bounced, after which a court case was filed with the Ranchi court alleging fraud of Rs 2.5 crore. As told to leading daily, Kumar said, “I had given Ameesha and Kuunal Rs 2.5 crore when they visited Ranchi in March last year for an event. They had told me the film would release by June 2018 and would be a profitable venture for me. It is yet to arrive at the theatres and when I badgered them, they promised to return my money with interest in two-three months. They even gave me a cheque of Rs 3 crore but it bounced and when I went back to them, they told me this time that they had no intention of refunding my money. They also threatened me by showing me Ameesha’s photos with some influential people. They say the film will release this year, but I haven’t got any updates on their plans.”

To shed more light on the matter we tried contacting Ameesha Patel, however, she was unavailable for a comment. On the work front, she was last seen in a film titled Bhaiaji Superhit (2018) starring Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta, Arshad Warsi. Stay tuned to CineBlitz for more updates on this front.
