Making debut in a different film industry altogether at the age of 75 sounds challenging, right? Well, seems like Amitabh Bachchan is up for it as he is making his debut in the Marathi film industry with a film titled AB Ani CD. The megastar who was last seen in Badla alongside Taapsee Pannu will now work with veteran Marathi actor Vikram Gokhale.
After working with the director of Sairat, Nagraj Manjule in his Hindi film Jhund, looks like Big B wants to explore the Marathi film industry a bit more. The film AB Ani CD will feature Mr. Bachchan as himself and Vikram Gokhale as Chandrakant Deshpande. The story will revolve around how both have been childhood friends and the latter’s life changes when the world comes to know that Amitabh Bachchan is his friend. Last time we saw Mr. Bachchan and Gokhale was in Agneepath (1990) and the scene is still fresh in the memories. 25 years ago Big B did a cameo in a Marathi film Akka and this will be his full-fledged debut. As he will be playing himself, a major portion of his dialogues will be in Hindi.
Meanwhile, the megastar will also be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s aspirational project Brahmastra alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
