Angrezi Medium: Jaipur based food blogger to make her debut with Irrfan Khan’s film

Angrezi Medium is a special film for many reasons. Not only does it mark Irrfan’s return to films but is also a sequel to the hit film Hindi Medium. But it is not just the audience for whom this film is a special one. Yes, a food blogger from Jaipur is as excited for the release of the film as you are because Angrezi Medium will mark her debut into Bollywood. Yes, 22-year-old Jaipur girl named Poorvi Jain will be playing the role of Irrfan’s wife, Rashi.

Talking to a news portal about her role in the film, Poorvi revealed that she always dreamt of becoming an actor. “This is the reason why I joined a theatre group in Jaipur and even participated in two plays staged at Jawahar Kala Kendra and Ravindra Manch. One day, I got a call from a casting director who was looking for fresh faces forAngrezi Medium. I was handed a script and asked to mouth a few dialogues. At that point in time, I didn’t know that I was auditioning for the character of Irrfan’s wife. It was only two weeks after the audition that I got a call saying that I have been chosen for the role. I was thrilled and so was my family.” Poorvi even shot for a few scenes in Udaipur for a week.
