Biopic on Kapil Sharma titled Funkaar on the cards!

Kapil Sharma’s biopic titled Funkaar is in the works. According to the portal India Today, the untold story of the actor-comedian will be directed by filmmaker Mrighdeep Singh Lamba of Fukrey fame, who is currently working on the script of his sequel Fukrey 3. Producer Mahaveer Jain made the announcement yesterday on Friday, January 14, on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. Kapil said that he is looking forward to bringing to the audience the story of “India’s most beloved Funkaar”.

Mahaveer Jain adds, “Billions of people get their daily dose of dopamine, courtesy Kapil Sharma. We all need love, life, and laughter. We are proud to present comedy superstar Kapil Sharma’s untold story on the big screen, in a big way.” Meanwhile, Kapil Sharma will soon be seen on the Netflix comedy special Kapil Sharma: I’m Not Done Yet. The biographical show will premiere on January 28. Currently, Kapil Sharma’s comedy show is airing on Sony TV. This will be for the first time that the comedian will be seen on Netflix.
