What rays of light were finally visible to the world after the control of the Pandemic, were shrouded in darkness once again by the Russian – Ukraine which worsened on 24th February, 2022. Millions of lives have been displaced, families uprooted and homes destroyed. Poland, the country that borders Ukraine, stood by its neighbour and welcomed the Ukrainian citizens with open arms, offering millions refuge. An act of true humanity. An act which has engaged the resources of all from Poland who are standing in Solidarity with Ukraine.

This fierce war between Russia and Ukraine has affected the shooting of Hindi Films in Poland. With Bollywood film makers having to stop their shootings, and film crews having to return back to India due to the situation. One such example is the 400 crore film of the legendary actor Sanjay Dutt and rising action hero, Dhruv Verma ; ‘The Good Maharaja’ wherein Sanjay Dutt will be seen in the titular role of Maharaja Jam Sahib of Nawangar (now Jamnagar, Gujarat India) and Dhruv Verma who will be playing the lead role of a Russian Sniper, whether he is playing the protagonist or antagonist is not known. Reportedly, the entire film crew unit, who were headed to Poland for the shoot of a portion of the film, had to return back to India from London itself, causing great loss for film maker Vikash Verma.

It has been reported that after the cancellation of the shoot schedule, Dhruv Verma met with a family member of the Royal Jadeja Family, Shri Mahendra Singh Jadeja in London upon his invite. There, at the famous Taj Hotel Saint James Court at Buckingham Gate, Dhruv and  Shri Jadeja ji discussed the upcoming epic.  Film maker Vikash Verma has also spared no expense in the effort to bring authenticity to the story of ‘The Good Maharaja’ and hence this mega budgeted, 400 cr film will be shot also in Poland. A highly professional approach has been chosen for the making of this film and this Important piece of History from the second World War will be brought before the audience of the world in a way like no other.

Another project of Film Maker Vikash Verma, the First-Indo Polish Film, ‘No Means No’, has been postponed to 16th December, 2022 in the wake of the war. “When war broke out, our priorities changed. Lives were now at stake. The risk of gathering the star cast belonging from India, Poland and Belarus; in Poland was enormous. Many members of the cast were fearful of the worsening situation and their concerns were justified. It was with a heavy heart that we had to take this decision. But It is for the greater good.” Said film maker Vikash Verma when asked for a comment on the Postponed release of the film.

Film Critics, already raving about the film, are saying that this Action Packed Love Story, based on Skiing will, for the first time present the Snow capped mountains, the Culture and Beauty of Poland to the Indian Audience, and that too in a manner most unique. And so it stands only fair that No Means No be enjoyed properly on the Silver Screen. Besides the action hero, Dhruv Verma, the cast of the film also has some Bollywood Heavy weights and veterans like Gulshan Grover and Sharad Kapoor. Well known Polish Actor Anna Guzik, and other Polish Cast include Natalia Bak,
