Thank You For Coming is living up to its tagline Rise-Rebel-Repeat. The movie has attainted global recognition owing to the phenomenal early international reviews and overwhelming audiences response at the 48th Toronto International Film Festival.
The evergreen actor Anil Kapoor will be seen in a special appearance in the film which is headlined by five actresses Bhumi Pednekar, Shehnaaz Gill, Dolly Singh, Kusha Kapila and Shibani Bedi.
Elated for the overwhelming response Thank You For Coming is receiving, Anil Kapoor speaks about how it is important to make films which are female-forward. The actor shared, “Bollywood needs to make more movies by and for women that will connect with international audiences. I’ve done a lot of films that were led by women, where I was a supporting actor, and I just liked the stories”.
Directed by Karan Boolani, Thank You For Coming tackles themes of female friendship, single women risking shame and criticism for wanting to remain unmarried and independent, and the pursuit of sex and pleasure by modern-day women.
