Charmee Kaur gives up acting – here’s why

Popular actress Charmee Kaur, who has acted in more than 50 films down South had made her debut in Tamil cinema with Kadhal Azhivathillai in 2002. Post her debut, she went on do many hit films like Kadhal Kisu Kisu, Aahaa Ethanai Azhagu, Laadam, 10 Endradhukulla, amongst others. However, post 10 Endradhukulla, the actress went on a screen hiatus for almost four years.

But while off screen, the actress was busy working on the production banner, Puri Connects. Charmee is currently co-producing the film iSmart Shankar which is an action romantic. At a recent event, the actress was asked about her screen absence, to which she gave a shocking reply. Charmee revealed that she won’t be acting anymore and was quoted saying, “Till date I have been part of 55 movies. No, I don’t want to act anymore. But since I want to continue in this film industry, I have taken up production work with Puri Jagannadh’s Puri Connects.”
