Nisha Rawal: My bipolarity was used as an excuse to escape

Nisha Rawal, who grabbed headlines after she announced her entry in the world’s first reality show which is based on the concept of a jail. Nisha who had announced her seperation with her former husband and went all out about the ugly chapters she faced in life. But one issue that was widely talked about was Nisha being allegedly ‘bipolar’.

Nisha who confessed to being bipolar in yesterday’s episode, also broke the stereotype of Bipolar people being considered crazy. Nisha said “Yes I am a bipolar, and as soon as I say that people raise their eyebrows and say ‘Pagal Hai Kya Yeh?’ And the worst part is, My Bipolarity was used as an excuse to escape! He just put it on me, and said that just because she is bipolar, she is mad so she did that to herself”.

She further continued, “When I lost my baby, I wasn’t even allowed to cry. Imagine 5 months we were sorting everything out for the baby, right from the craddle to the breast pump etc. And during that time my partner did not support and that’s when the doctor said that you are going through a depressive state of bipolarity. I have had enough of mental, emotional abuse and this journey has been since then. And today I am confessing it just to put the message that ‘its okay to cry’. And when you show strength and inspire others, the world becomes a better place”.
