Deepika Padukone kickstarts the MAMI Film Festival 2019 in an innovative manner

Deepika Padukone, who believes that it is important for the youth to join hands with influential organisations and movements, became a part of the most celebrated film festival recently. Yes, the actress was appointed as the chairperson of Mumbai Academy of Moving Image (MAMI). And the leggy beauty has been excited for this venture since the announcement.
Today, Deepika took to her social media page and announced the commencement of MAMI. In her tweet, she wrote, “Every year our film family increases. We discover new voices & strengthen old relationships as the entire fraternity converges at @MumbaiFilmFest to celebrate cinema! We open this edition of the festival in the hope of discovering & presenting a new generation of filmmaking talent” The prestigious festival will be held from 17th to 24th October.

On the work front, Deepika will be seen in Meghna Gulzar’s directorial Chhapaak alongside Vikrant Massey. She will essay the role of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal in the film and has been shooting in Delhi for the same. Stay tuned to CineBlitz for more such updates from the world of Bollywood.
