Exclusive! Ajay Devgn looking forward to start shooting with Saif Ali Khan for Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior

Ajay Devgn is currently busy promoting his upcoming adventure comedy Total Dhamaal that is set to release on February 22. The film has Ajay reunite with his Ishq and Masti director – Indra Kumar, hisLajja co-star Madhuri Dixit Nene, Action Jackson co-actor Sonakshi Sinha (for a special song) as well as Masti co-star Riteish Deshmukh. While Ajay admits that he was most happy reuniting with all of them, there is one co-star who the star is now most eagerly awaiting to work with again. The actor is Saif Ali Khan who will be co-starring with Ajay in his upcoming period epic Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior. The two had first starred together in Milan Luthria’s Kachche Dhaage 20 years ago in 1999. And even though since then the duo worked together in only two other films JP Dutta’s LOC Kargil (2003) and Vishal Bhardwaj’s Omkara (2006) the two have always bonded really well. So, it’s little surprise then that they are looking forward to reuniting on screen once again.

Talking about his epic period film Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior, Ajay tells us that he will start shooting for the next schedule very soon. Ajay reveals that he is also looking forward to Saif joining them in the soon-to-start schedule. “We are working 13 years after Omkara. It is always a pleasure working with Saif. We actually do get along really well and I admire him as an actor too. I had immensely enjoyed working with him in Omkara. In fact, even in our first film together Kachche Dhaage, it was an amazing experience working with Saif. He’s a fantastic actor.” Saif too is said to be excited about working with Ajay in Taanaji. In fact, he has been busy extensively prepping up for his role.

Meanwhile, Ajay’s look for the historical is being much-appreciated. The actor has been sporting extensive side-burns and has been looking super-fit as always. He had earlier revealed that the shoot forTaanaji is going on as per schedule. “Sixty percent of the film has been shot and we are starting our next schedule soon,” Ajay had said.
