The preparations for the biopic 83 based on India’s victory in the 1983 World Cup have begun in full swing and the entire ensemble cast is leaving no stone unturned to train as hard as possible. Meanwhile, director Kabir Khan is currently in London for his share of prep-work ahead off shooting there. Kapil Dev with the Indian cricket team had created history at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground, London in 1983. And Kabir is in London to research for the sequence as it is the most crucial part of the film. This is naturally exciting news as it will be interesting to see if any part of the film will actually be shot on the same ground where Kapil Dev made history!

The story behind Lord’s is that India won the 1983 cup there beating West Indies on June 25. With Ranveer Singh playing Kapil Dev, there’s much excitement already. It will be interesting to watch him imitate the style of one of the most iconic players we have. The actor has already begun preparing and several photographs from his visits to cricket courts have been making rounds over the internet. Also the list of the actors who will be playing the teammates is out.

Pankaj Tripathi will be playing Ranveer’s coach. With a big team involved and everyone putting in their best, 83 will be a treat to watch and a tribute to the man and his team who made us proud. How excited are you about the film, let us know in the comments section below.
