Debutant director Prakhar Shrivastava talks about the responses he is receiving for his recently released film “Good Luck,” starring veteran actor Brijendra Kala. The film was released in theaters on April 5th. Produced by Dr. (Er) Azad Jain under the Asha Azad Films banner, “Good Luck” marks the debut of 80-year-old actress Malti Mathur as the lead, playing Brijendra Kala’s mother. The film features a large ensemble cast, including Dr. (Er) Azad Jain, Tulika Banerjee, Ashutosh Upadhyay, Pankaj Waghle, Sagar Shende, Ayushi Shukla, Keshav Sharma, Bhushan Jain, and Virendra Nathaniel.

Talking about the kind of responses he has been receiving so far, he shares, “People are raving about the fast pace and engaging story – there’s never a dull moment. They’re also loving the entire cast, praising their performances for effectively conveying the emotions intended, which resonate perfectly with the audience. It’s incredibly satisfying to see the film connect with viewers in such a positive way.”

Sharing whether he anticipated this for his debut film, he shares, “While my debut film is certainly special to me, I view it primarily as a piece of entertainment for everyone. That’s why I went for the whole commercial audience angle. So, to see good reviews coming in, from all over too, it’s just amazing, especially when you see people of all ages walking out happy. That’s the best feeling.”

Sharing his thoughts on people’s reactions after seeing the film, he states, “What’s exciting is that audiences of all ages are connecting with the film’s unique content. It’s refreshing to see people appreciating a good story even without a big-name cast. The movie itself is the star, that’s what’s getting people excited, and that’s incredible!”
