John Abraham and Mouni Roy are gearing up for the trailer launch of their upcoming film Romeo Akbar Walter. While all their fans are excited to catch more glimpses of the film through its trailer, it seems they will have to wait a little less to watch the film itself on the big screen. Yes, as per our sources, the action thriller that was initially going to release on April 12 has now been preponed by a week. The film will now arrive in the theatres on April 4. Though the reason behind pushing the release date ahead is unknown, we guess the makers of RAW don’t want to take chances with their film’s run at the box office.
What we mean is that, around the release of RAW (Romeo Akbar Walter), Karan Johar’s Kalank would also be hitting the theatres. And that is why we think the makers of John starrer chose to change the release date. Karan Johar’s production venture Kalank, which stars many stalwarts including Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit Nene, and Sonakshi Sinha, has been in the news ever since it was announced. Because of the stellar cast, everyone is looking forward to KJo’s film. On the other hand, the teaser of RAW came in January and the 1 minute 23 seconds video did manage to impress many on social media. Watch the teaser here:
Based on true events, RAW brings alive the story of a true patriot, a forgotten hero, a man of many faces and names, who lived for one and only one purpose which was to serve his country. The film, written and directed by Robbie Grewal, also features Jackie Shroff, Suchitra Krishnamoorthi, and Sikander Kher. It is produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures. While we assume Kalank to be the reason behind RAW’s release getting preponed, we will have to wait and see what reason the makers give out for the change in their plan.
