Kaafir trailer: Dia Mirza and Mohit Raina’s series looks intense and heartbreaking

Zee5 original Kaafir’s trailer released today (May 28). The series starring Dia Mirza and Mohit Raina looks pretty intense. Set in the breathtaking landscapes from North, it is inspired by a real-life story. The film deals with a rather sensitive topic and traces the journey of a lawyer-journalist trying to seek justice for an alleged millitant.

The trailer opens to long shots of the beautiful valley  and in the next scene we witness the complexities the character is going through. The series stars Mohit Raina, a Journalist and lawyer who restarts his practice only to give justice to an alleged militant who has spent almost half of her life in prison just because she is considered a terrorist. Dia Mirza plays the alleged militant and also has a daughter. The 2018 hit film Raazi’s writer, Bhavani Iyer has written the series.

Directed by Sonam Nair, Kaafir will release on Zee5 on June 15.
