Karan Oberoi rape case controversy: Actor’s accuser arrested for false allegations today

Karan Oberoi had been headlining the news for all the wrong reasons recently. He was accused of raping and extorting money from a lady astrologer and was arrested back in May for the same. Karan was granted bail and according to reports, was found to have been innocent of the crimes. And now a new development has taken place in the case.

The Mumbai police have confirmed that the woman complainant has herself been arrested for making false accusations! The woman also claimed that she was harassed by a few men after filing the complaint against Karan. The police later came to the conclusion that the complainant’s lawyer had plotted the ‘harassment’ incident as well. On the account of these developments, the Mumbai police took the woman in custody. However, she has reportedly dismissed the charges and is making allegations that her lawyer has framed her.
