Kirti Kulhari turns singer for her next – read details

Kirti Kulhari gave one of her best performances in Uri: The Surgical Strike and her character from the web-series Four More Shots Please also garnered a lot of appreciation. The actress has always been seen in serious roles and we cannot forget her performance in Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu starrer Pink. But get ready to see a brand new avatar of the 33-year-old  as she will be essaying the role of a singer in her next film. The yet-to-be-titled film is a story of two contrasting worlds that come together during a road trip from Mumbai to Ajmer and how things turn out for Kirti’s character. The film will portray how views are exchanged, people’s lives are impacted and stereotypes are broken, on this journey.

According to a source, Kirti will be seen playing a character named Sasha, who is the lead singer of a band. Sasha is someone who has lived her life on her own terms and persistently questions the society on its indoctrinations. Well, this sounds interesting. Talking about her association with the film, the talented actress said, “What I really find interesting about this character is that she is truly liberated and free, and it is freedom that all of us seek but very few are able to actually find. When I say free she is free in her spirit and not bound by societal norms or rules, that means that she lives her life on her own terms. I find that so exciting and amazing as it reflects who I am in real life and how I like to live. Her funda in life is live and let live. I am glad that I am getting to play a character like this.” Well, we’re sure you all are looking forward to seeing Kirti as Sasha on the big screen, no?

Directed by Raj Singh Chaudhary, the film is being produced by Anant Roongta, Famous Digital Studios Pvt. Ltd and Sanjay Shetty, Opticus Inc. Apart from this film, Kirti will also be seen in Akshay Kumar’s Mission Mangal (2019) alongside Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Nithya Menen, Sonakshi Sinha, and Sharman Joshi. The film is directed by Jagan Shakti.
