Ever since Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul made their sexist remarks on the latest episode of Koffee With Karan, it has taken the world of social media and their fellow cricketers by storm and the fire just doesn’t seem to die down. Hardik and KL Rahul took it all too far by arrogantly making misogynistic statements about women and thereafter they were temporarily suspended by the BCCI for the ODI series against Australia. Now, Hardik’s alleged ex-girlfriend Esha Gupta has spoken out on the controversy and she has even denied being his friend ever.

At an event recently when Esha was asked about her opinion on the remarks made by Hardik on Karan Johar’s show, the actress said, “Who is the one who told you, he is my friend?” To express her disdain further, the actress added that in her opinion, no one should ever say anything so harsh about women. “Firstly, women should not compare themselves with men. We are the best in every respect. I don’t want anyone to feel bad, but why don’t you give birth to a child? We suffer from periods five days every month and even then, we have to dance, go to an office, and take care of the children. When you can do all this, you become superior,” she told the reporters at the event.

After the controversy spread like wildfire, Hardik took to social media to post an apology but the fury of the twitterati was so much, it didn’t do much to salvage the situation that he put himself in. We would love to know your opinions on this. Do share in the comment section below.
