Dostana director Tarun Mansukhani congratulates the team of Dostana 2

This year will mark 11 years since Dostana (2008) released. The film starred Priyanka Chopra Jonas, John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan in lead roles and was highly appreciated by the fans and the audience. The trio made for the perfect leads but the onscreen chemistry is what made it a hit. Now that the much-awaited sequel has finally been announced, it was confirmed that Janhvi Kapoor and Kartik Aaryan will be coming together for Dostana 2. However, Tarun Mansukhani, the director of the first part will not be directing the film. Instead, it will be directed by newbie Collin D’Cunha. Tarun on his part is only happy with the development.

In a thread of tweets, Tarun expressed his joy saying, “Its FINALLY happening!!! #Dostana2 I can’t help but recall the 5 years I spent trying 2 make this happen but just wasn’t able to. I’m not a part of this film in any way but this announcement makes me feel so proud about the fact that I made a film that is franchise worthy even a decade later!” Check out the rest of his tweets below:
