Kapil Sharma – Chandan Prabhakar are no longer friends?

The Kapil Sharma Show has tickled our funny bones for the longest time. From B-town stars to sports personalities, a lot of celebs have appeared on the comedy show, making the journey more special. Though the show is all about laughter, behind the camera things have been a bit difficult for the host Kapil Sharma. He recently had a fallout with Sunil Grover, who is fondly remembered for playing Mashoor Gulati on the show, and it seems like there are zero chances of mending their friendship. But hang on, there is another friendship that is going through rough waters according to media reports.

Apparently, Chandan Prabhakar, who is professionally associated with Sharma for a long time now, has been missing from the action as the two childhood friends are reportedly going through a rough patch. While replying to a fan on micro-blogging site Twitter about his absence from the show, the stand-up comedian said, “thanks for the love. Well, I’m not missing episodes intentionally. My character and my acting might not be working that’s why they are not putting me in the episodes. Well, lots of love n best wishes for you also.”

Further, talking to a leading publication, Chandan stated, “I stand by what I have shared with my fans on social media. Sometimes, it is quite possible that the makers are not happy with the way you are enacting your gags. In my case, the makers feel that my gags are not clicking with the audience, but when you check social media, my fans feel otherwise.” He also added, “My fans really like my work and keep asking me questions if I go missing from the show. So, these are professional issues and I am hoping that they will be sorted soon. I have high regards for Kapil and personally, we share a great equation. He is a dear friend and I have nothing against him.”

Kapil, however, while talking to the same publication put the rumours to rest and said that Chandan shot an episode with them yesterday and they will be shooting today as well. He further added, “He was missing in a few episodes because we were working on some new characters. But that does not mean he is not a part of the show.
