Kiara Advani signs her first female-centric film, Indoo Ki Jawaani- read details

Kiara Advani, who is currently shooting for Laxmmi Bomb opposite Akshay Kumar, has bagged yet another role in a film that will be helmed by Abir Sengupta. The production house, Emmay Entertainment, took to Twitter to announce their film Indoo Ki Jawaani starring Kiara. They tweeted, “It’s a Match! We are glad to announce our next with @Advani_Kiara, #IndooKiJawaani to be directed by @AbirSengupta. Watch this space for more.”

Kiara will be playing the titular role of Indoo Gupta, a feisty girl from Ghaziabad who hops on a dating app, and it ends up in a hysterical chaos. In a statement, Kiara said, “Indoo is edgy, lovable and quirky. It’s really exciting and relevant because the story is set in today’s time. This is a special script and Nikkhil (Advani) and I were meant to do it together. I can’t wait to start shooting the film.” Indoo Ki Jawani goes on floors in September this year and is produced by Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikkhil Advani along with Niranjan Iyengar and Ryan Stephen.

Producer Nikkhil Advani also took to Twitter saying, “What a cracker script by writer/director #AbirSengupta. We had to swipe right (hope I got that right!!!) @Advani_Kiara you’re just going to make #Indoo just come alive.
