Samantha Prabhu – who has established herself in Tamil and Telugu films – rose to prominence with Ye Maaya Chesave(2010). Her films won her fans and recognition. But along with the adulation and praise, she also fell prey to some heavy trolling. Recently, Samantha revealed that there was a time when getting trolled on social media affected her mental health. In fact, they even made her rush into the wrong decisions.

However, she finally took charge and did not let them affect her anymore. She revealed that now she knows what to expect from trolls and takes it as lightly as a feather. In a live interview on Twitter, Samantha who is married to actor Naga Chaitanya opened up on several issues including the speculations about her pregnancy and the trolling. She said, “It surely did affect me initially, to the extent that I was questioning my sanity. I would wake up and the first thing I would do was check for trolls,” Samantha said. It was really hurting my mental stability and making me rush into the wrong decisions. So I don’t think I have much advice or an explanation for how I really got out of such a situation. Because it just happened over time. I think now I am at a point where it’s all for fun, where I was just listening along.”

Workwise, Samantha Prabhu will be seen in BV Nandini Reddy’s Oh Baby which will hit cinemas on July 5. Till then stay tuned to CineBlitz for more updates on Bollywood.
