Stars and Cricketers appeal to stop domestic violence

A video has been curated and released by Akshara and special cell for women and children

Top personalities like Madhuri Dixit, Anushkha Sharma, Virat Kohli and Vidya Balan have joined hands to support an initiative #lockdownonDomesticViolence expressing their concern over the rise in cases during the corona lockdown

The video has been created to urge people to stand up and fight for themselves by reporting about the abuse and violence.

“Let’s put a lockdown on domestic violence…if you are a survivor of domestic violence, report it. .. It’s the time to stand up and break the silence. If you are a witness to domestic violence …please report,” the stars said in the video.
Some other celebrities like Rohit Sharma, actor Rahul Bose, Farhan Akhtar and filmmaker have featured in the video

The initiative is curated by Akshara Centre in collaboration with Special Cell for Women and Children.
