Malayalam cinema, often regarded as the hub of intellectually rich stories, has continuously produced acclaimed films over the years that are deep and mature. One of the main reasons for this success has been the talented actors who have elevated Malayalam films globally with their relatable and realistic method acting.
Mohanlal, fondly known as the ‘Complete Actor’, is one among the most versatile actors Malayalam cinema has seen. With over four decades in the industry and over 350 films, he remains the undisputed hero of Malayalam masses. His acting prowess and unfaltering box office pull make him one of the highest paid actors even today.
Another force to reckon with is another versatile actor turned director Prithviraj Sukumaran who is set to return as Director in the much-awaited sequel to his 2019 super hit, Lucifer. Titled L2E: Empuraan, the ambitious project bringing Mohanlal and Prithviraj together once again is designed by leading production house Aashirvad Cinemas led by Chairman Antony Perumbavoor, which joins hands with Lyca Productions, headed by G.K.M Tamil Kumaran.
The God’s own country warmly welcomes Lyca Productions, our chairman, Mr. Subaskaran, shares his passion and his commitment to deep storytelling will resonate strongly with the people of this culturally rich land, Kerala. “We are also blessed with this debut opportunity in Malayalam films, through L2E: Empuraan, we aim not only to accelerate the industry’s growth but also take its stories to a global audience. We strongly believe that the film’s success will cement Lyca’s position as the go-to enabler of progressive, impactful cinema from the industry, for many years to come. Thank you, Aashirvad Cinemas, for joining hands with us on this prestigious collaborative project.”
