Sushmita Sen starrer web series Aarya has a bagged nomination for India as part of the 2021 International Emmy Awards, the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced on Thursday. The series which was released in June last year marked the return of the actress on the screen after a long absence.
The official remake of the popular Dutch crime drama Penoza, the series garnered a lot of praise and appreciation. The exceptional series was directed by Ram Madhvani, Sandeep Modi, and Vinod Rawat and along with Sushmita Sen, it featured Chandrachur Singh, Namit Das, Sikandar Kher, Manish Chaudhari, Ankur Bhatia, Alexx ONell, Sugandha Garg, Maya Sarao, Priyasha, Bharadwaj, Sohaila, Kapur, Jayant Kriplani, Flora Saini, Jagdish Rajpurohit, Vishwajeet Pradhan, Vikas Kumar, Vriti Vaghani, Viren Vazirani, Pratyaksh Panwar, Gargi Sawant, Richard Klein and Palash Prajapati.
Other companies owned by Ram and Amita Madhvani are Equinox Films and Equinox Virtual. The winners for the awards will be announced during an in-person ceremony which will be held in New York City on November 22.
