Hasti DoshiIf there is one actor who has never disappointed with his performances, it’s Manoj Bajpayee. Over the years, the versatile star has acted many critically acclaimed films including Gali Guleiyan which came out last year. The film was lauded for its poignant storytelling at various international film festivals. However, the psychological drama has been ignored by the mainstream awards in India and that hasn’t gone down well with the Satya actor. He is upset about his work not being recognized and hence took to social media and slammed the so-called mainstream awards.
Expressing his views, Bajpayee tweeted, “So used to the fact that all the films of mine which are highly acclaimed nationally and internationally don’t even get a place in the nominations list of so called big mainstream awards here forget about winning. Creative pursuit and exploitation continue….! @GaliGuleiyan.”

Talking about Gali Guleiyan, the film was released in India on September 2018. Though it wasn’t a box office success, Dipesh Jain’s directorial venture did impress many at various film festivals. The Manoj Bajpayee starrer had its premiere at the 22nd Busan International Film Festival and was also screened at MAMI Film Festival, Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles, Chicago International Film Festival, Atlanta Film Festival, and 42nd Cleveland International Film Festival. While the National award-winning actor is clearly pissed with the mainstream awards, a lot of fans have come out and supported him on Twitter.
