#MenToo

The #MeToo movement took the world by storm and many perpetrators were exposed. On the same page, a couple of weeks ago, a Delhi-based NGO launched a #MenToo movement at the India Gate in the Capital of the country. The campaign has received a good response and is spreading now with B-Town names supporting it too. Pooja Bedi who has been supporting Karan Oberoi, who is accused of rape and extortion, also lent her support of the #MenToo movement.

The campaign was launched taking into consideration the protection of the dignity of men against the false cases filed. Pooja Bedi who firmly believes in equality in rights, justice and punishment is firm on supporting the campaign. “The movement is the need of the hour. As the #MeToo was and is a necessary and powerful movement for women that brought to light a lot of misogyny and misuse of power and position by men, in the same vein misuse of flaws and movements by women also need to be punished,” said the actress. Pooja also feels that the rampant misuse of stringent pro-women laws is robbing men of dignity, reputation, career and money.

Payal Rohatgi too has spoken up for it. According to her many women have been misusing the laws to their benefits and that needs to stop. #MenToo is an initiative by a Delhi based NGO Purush Aayog. For more updates and news, stay tuned to CineBlitz.
