After giving a stellar performance in the film Thackeray, Nawazuddin Siddiqui immediately started working on his next titled Raat Akeli Hai. In the film, he is essaying the role of an Uttar Pradesh Police officer who is investigating a murder case. And currently, he is in Kapur for the same. The film’s unit initially started shooting at the Lala Lajpat Rai (LLR) Hospital in the Swaroop Nagar area. They then went to Bithoor to shoot some other portions. Everything was going smooth until the team reached Kotwali. A shocking incident took place, leaving Nawaz and the entire crew startled.
So on Sunday (February 24), when Siddiqui was busy shooting a scene, a huge crowd turned up on the sets. Since everyone wanted to click pictures with him, tight security was put in place to control the mob. Despite that, a crazy fan still managed to flank the bouncers and the policemen and ran up to Nawaz to click a picture. He put his arms around the actor’s neck and tried to take a selfie with him. This scary stunt surely startled Nawaz and everyone around him. But thankfully things were under control within few minutes as cops quickly rushed to the actor’s rescue and nabbed the boy and took him away from the venue.
Coming back to the film, Honey Trehan is making his directorial debut with Raat Akeli Hai which is a crime thriller set in rural India. Buzz is that Radhika Apte may soon sign on the dotted line as she is very keen on working with Nawazuddin again. Radhika and Nawaz have worked together in two films so far – Badlapur and Manjhi: The Mountain Man. The two were also a part of the hit Netflix series
