Be it heinous crimes, natural disasters, wars; the world surely needs an intervention, says actor Shivin Narang. Shivin, who was last seen in Aakhri Sach alongside Tamannaah Bhatia and will be seen in the film Dunk, adds that Maha Shivratri has always held a lot of significance for him, and he is confident that such auspicious days are sure to bring happiness and peace to everyone.

“Mahashivratri and the name Shiv have a huge significance and importance in my life as the vibration of my name Shivin. It’s all about that. So there is a natural inclination towards Lord Shiva. As a Shiv bhakt, I am not the person who does a lot of puja or rituals but I am more of spiritual and how he is said to be biggest Yogi it really inspires me, connects me with Shiva and with my life with the transition of life.  I try to acquire some qualities of him and today is a really big day I guess it’s the energies are there,” he says.

Talking about what Shivratri means to him, he says, “Besides following the regular rituals on this festival, Shivratri, for me, means peace and serenity. This day instils a sense of calm in me, and hope for my future. So, for me, it is a lot more than just following the regular customs.”

Meanwhile, it also happens to be International Women’s Day today. On being asked about the most important woman in his life, he says, It has to be my mother. Her strength is exemplary and life without her is impossible. Whatever I am, it is because of my parents. My mother brings balance in my family. And today is a big day the date is eight and a Women’s Day, which we say Shiva is a mixture of everything. Women also play a big role where the world is going nowhere wherever it is flying Shiva is something which keeps us connected to itself. In a lot of ways, no matter the religion, no matter the cast no matter who you are, I guess the aeration of the universe is altogether connected.”
